Wildflower Evening Tea Recipe:
–A Soothing Blend for Quiet Nights-
Hello dear reader, and welcome back to the den. As twilight settles and the world begins to fall into hush, there’s something deeply soothing about cradling a warm cup between your hands, today’s recipe is one of my favorites! An herbal mixture sure to bring you peace and delight. It’s an herbal blend that I call Wildflower Evening tea. Its simple, floral and perfect for winding down after a long day.
whether you reading by candlelight or sitting by a fire, taking in a calm moment to yourself, or just need help settling in before bed, this recipe will surely do the trick, for it feels like a lullaby in a cup.
Ingredients:
(makes 1-2 servings)
- 1 teaspoon of dried chamomile
- 1 teaspoon of lavender buds
- 1 teaspoon of lemon balm
- Optional : a drop of rose water, or a teaspoon of honey
Tip: All herbs can be found in herbal shops, online apothecaries, or gathered and dried from your very own garden, if you are so lucky.
Instructions:
- In a teapot or Infuser, Combine all herbs.
- Pour 8 oz of freshly boiled water ( just off the boil ) over the herbs.
- Cover and Steep for 5-7 minutes
- Strain and pour into your favorite mug.
- Add a touch of honey, or a drop of rose water if so preferred, drink slowly and kick back as your stress fades away with every sip.
A Note from the Den:
Chamomile and Lavender are known for their calming properties, while Lemon Balm gently soothes the nervous system. Together, they create they create a peaceful experience, inviting you to rest, reflect and let go of the day.
If you close your eyes while sipping, you might just get an audible glimpse, of the wind in the tall grass, and the smell of wildflower petals flowing by, at dusk.
